Mortgage Pro Pte Ltd (“MortgagePro”) have prepared this Privacy Policy, in connection with the Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012) and as may be amended or supplemented from time to time (“the Act”) to inform you how we manage Personal Data (as defined below) which is subject to the Act. By accepting the terms herein, you acknowledge and agree that MortgagePro may collect, use and disclose your Personal Data as provided herein, in accordance with the Act. MortgagePro will ensure compliance by its staff to the highest standards of security that is reasonably required of us and confidentiality in respect of all personal information and data submitted by you via our website(s), media platform, or applications to MortgagePro and MortgagePro will not release such information to anyone without your prior consent, except to the authorized persons listed herein.

You are strongly recommended to read this Privacy Policy carefully in order to understand MortgagePro’s policy and practices with regard to the treatment of personal information and data provided by you to us. The provisions of this Privacy Policy herein may be updated, revised, varied, or amended from time to time as MortgagePro deems necessary. How We Collect Personal Data

We collect personal data and information in the following ways: –

1. when you submit any form, including but not limited to, application and declaration forms;
2. when you enter into any agreement or provide other documentation or information in respect of your interactions and transactions with us, or when you use our services;
3. when you interact with our staff via telephone calls, text messages, letters, fax email and face-to-face meetings;
4. when you request that we contact you, be included in an email or other mailing list; or when you respond to our request for additional personal data and other initiatives;
5. when you submit an employment application or when you provide documents or information including your resume and/or curriculum vitae in connection with any appointment or any position;

What Data Do We Collect

Some of your data and personal information that we may collect are: –

1. personal particulars (e.g. name, contact details, residential address, date of birth, identity card or passport details, education details);
2. specimen signature or signatures;
3. financial details (e.g. Central Provident Fund balances, credit history; salary and bonus details);
4. images of our conversations with you (e.g. text messages);
5. employment details (e.g. occupation, directorships and other positions held, employment history, salary benefits);
6. tax information;
7. information about your investments, business interests, assets;
8. banking information (e.g. account numbers; loan details); and/or
9. personal opinions made known to us (e.g. feedback).                      

Purposes of collection of data

1. In the course of using our services, you may disclose or be asked to provide personal information and/or data to us. In order to benefit from and enjoy the various services offered by us, it may be necessary for you to provide us with your data and information. Although you are not obliged to provide your Personal Data and/or information as requested by us, we will not be able to render certain services in the event that you do not do so.

Uses of your information

1. The purposes for which your information may be used by us in and outside Singapore include                    a) providing you with newsletter,                education materials or information        that we find useful for you, subject        to your exercise of the opt-out right  b) carrying out our obligations arising        from any contracts entered into            between you and us;                      c) designing and conducting                      surveys/questionnaires for client          profiling/segmentation, statistical          analysis, improving and furthering          the provision our products and              services;                                    d) complying with laws and regulations      applicable to us or any of our                affiliates in or outside Singapore;    e) legal proceedings, including                  collecting overdue amounts and            seeking professional advices;            f) researching, designing and launching     services or products including               seminars/events/forums;                  g) promoting and marketing services          and products subject to your                exercise of the opt-out right or.        h) any other purposes directly related        or incidental to the above.
2. We intend to use your data and information in direct marketing and we require your consent (which includes an indication of no objection) for that purpose. In this connection, please note that:                                            a) your name, contact details                   (including address, contact number,       email address), products and               services information, transaction           pattern and behaviour, background       and demographic data held by us         from time to time may be used by us     in direct marketing;                           b) the following classes of services,           products and subjects may be               marketed in direct marketing               i) services and products related to            our site and/or our affiliates                  (including marketing affiliates               programs we are a part of);              ii) reward, loyalty or privileges                  programs, promotional offers and          related services; and                       iii)  invitations to events such as                 seminars/webinars/tele-                       seminars, conferences, live                   programs or events.

We will keep the Personal Data we hold confidential but may provide information to:                                    a) any person in connection with the        services you have requested us to        provide for you;                              b) our professional advisers such as          our auditors and lawyers;                  c) any liquidator, receiver, official             assignee/trustee, judicial manager or     any other person appointed under or     pursuant to any applicable law or         court order in connection with the         bankruptcy, liquidation, winding up,       judicial management or any other         analogous process in respect of any     individual, company or business d) any person to whom disclosure is          allowed or required by law,                  regulation or any other applicable          instrument;                                    e) any court, tribunal regulator                  (including national and/or                    international regulator),                        enforcement agency, exchange              body, tax or other authority                  (including HDB, CPF or an authority       investigating an offence) where we       are required to do so by applicable       law and/or regulation; any authority       or regulator, any directive, order or       request of any authority or                   regulator, or any agreement with a         regulator or an authority; and/or.        f) any third party to whom we have           outsourced a part of our work to, to       the extent it is necessary for them       to carry out the assigned tasks;             and/or                                            g) any other party to whom you                authorise us to disclose your                personal data.

In this connection, please note that your name, contact details, age, sex, date of birth, country of residence, nationality, education level, and work experience held by MortgagePro from time to time may be used by us and/or its authorized personnel or staff in direct marketing;

Please note that if you withdraw your consent to any or all use of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, MortgagePro may not be in a position to continue to provide its products or services to you or administer any contractual relationship in place, and this may also result in the termination of any agreements with MortgagePro and your being in breach of your contractual obligations or undertakings, and MortgagePro’s legal rights and remedies in such event are expressly reserved.

Security

1. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
2. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk, and you agree not to hold us responsible for any breach of security while accessing the internet that is out of our control. Once we have received your information, we will use accepted industry procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

You may rest assure that your personal information and data will only be kept for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is collected.
5. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information and data submitted by you to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information and data against unauthorised access, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Other Terms

1. MortgagePro’s failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the terms herein shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. No waiver by MortgagePro of any of the terms herein shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to you in writing. No failure or delay by a party to exercise any right or remedy provided under this agreement or by law shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of such right or remedy shall prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.
2. If any provision or part-provision of the terms herein is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this Clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this agreement.
3. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all liabilities, damages, claims, actions, costs and expenses (including without limitation legal fees), in connection with or arising from your breach of any of the terms herein and/or your use of the website.
4. Nothing in the terms herein is intended to, or shall be deemed to, establish any partnership or joint venture between the parties, nor constitute either party the agent of the other for any purpose. Neither party shall have authority to act as agent for, or to bind, the other party in any way.
5. A person who is not a party to the terms herein shall not have any rights to enforce its terms.
6. The terms herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and any claims or disputes of whatever nature shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore. Nothing in this Notice limits or seeks to limit your rights under the Act.
